Resonance

I've always been fascinated by sound waves and the way in which resonating waves interact with other objects. I can't help but feel like we've barely scratched the surface in our knowledge of true practical uses of acoustics. Chew on these 2 videos for a quick taste.

T-pain app

I know I already posted once today, but I can't keep this gem to myself.

Stone Brewery

I had the privilege of visiting Stone Brewery yesterday, and I truly hope everyone has the chance to visit Stone. Even if their aggressive beers aren't quite your taste, the grounds are absolutely beautiful, and the bistro serves delicious meals made from locally grown produce. Several free tours are given daily where the public is free to view Stone's brewing process, and free samples are given out afterwards.

If you're in the mood to just relax and drink a beer, the 1 acre Stone gardens is the perfect place. With plenty of outdoor seating, waterfalls, and even some wildlife, you really can't go wrong. If you're a big beer-buff then you will be pleasantly surprised with the huge list of draft and bottled beer available, but even if you're not a beer fan, well did I mention how delicious the food is?

I got my growler filled with Oaked Arrogant Bastard Ale this time around. I highly recommend it!

Oh, by the way, Stone is located in beautiful Escondido, CA.

Cheers.

Webcast fail

I know this is kind of old but I can't stop laughing whenever I watch this vid. Hopefully it's new to some of you.

Oh, and if you can't get enough of the Sheen, here's more - in dubstep.

Hello?

I can't believe that the world hasn't just agreed to ignore every single detail about this woman. But then again, here I am posting about her...

Charlie Sheen is awesome.

If you haven't heard any of Sheen's rants about the lead writer of 2 1/2 Men, do yourself a favor and check it out

Doesn't it feel like sometimes we all fall into a philosophy mode?  When our heads are in the clouds and we come up with such "fantastic" notions at the time, but in the end we realize that there is no real rhyme or reason.  And then that meta-thought game comes into play where we question if any thought has real meaning unless put into practical use.

I feel that gamers have many such thoughts pertaining to video games and their creation.  I hear so many great ideas from the community, but they have no means to transmit those ideas to creators.  It's unfortunate that no one has hired me yet simply as an "idea man".  But there I go again with another desultory thought.
